This Holy Week the record number of more than 3.7 million tourists visited Honduras, according to authorities of the Ministry of Tourism.

The number of tourists represents a 3.7% growth compared to the mobilization registered during the Holy Week of 2018.

There was also an increase in the number of Salvadoran and Guatemalan tourists who visited Honduras during the holidays, according to the National Institute of Migration (INM).

Salvadoran tourists increased from 15,553 in Holy Week last year to 18,936 in 2019, which represents a growth of 21.8%.

Guatemalans increased from 9,948 to 10,291 between 2018 and this year, that is, an increase of 3.4%.
